The most important thing we can address on any given day is our own satisfaction. This is not selfish, but rather the most direct route to our best self, and thus to our most joyful contributions. Each of us has a personal growing edge… or more than one! Whether we are expanding and growing or struggling and feeling stagnant, there are areas of our lives that are ripe for self evaluation and taking new risks. And stretching into that growing edge is where our personal satisfaction lives.
We’ve designed a Risk Questionnaire
that prompts you to observe yourself deeply, and stretch into your own personal possibility. It’s like a coaching session – with yourself! You’ll get in touch with your most powerful strengths and your most closely held desires. You’ll acknowledge your fears and places where you’ve stagnated and, in dialogue with yourself, be reminded of areas in which you can begin to risk and create yourself newly. Working with the questionnaire will, of itself, create new choices in your life – effortlessly and easily… and these new choices will create magically new results.
Complete the Risk Questionnaire on our website and submit it. You’ll receive a print out by email for you to keep as a reminder of your growing edge. And it’s totally private. Phoenix Possibilities does not receive a copy, unless of course you share it with us.
If you would like to schedule a personal session to discuss your growing edge, feel welcome to contact us. Enjoy, be inspired, and stretch into new choices!

WORDS OF WISDOM is a group-based writing program, primarily for seniors and the elderly to find their voice and share their story while creating connections and deepening community.
Writing circles greatly benefit assisted living facilities, nursing homes, senior living communities, senior day care centers, and other health care agencies that serve seniors and the elderly. One hour per week for six weeks, residents get really involved in writing about their lives, past and present. As each person shares what they have written, community and connection is deepened. It is an easy, simple way to gather family stories and preserve one’s legacy in writing.
Writer and owner Carol Walkner says, “WORDS OF WISDOM
is magical. Writing groups are energizing and enlightening for caregivers, nurses, hospice workers, social workers, volunteers and those who care for someone terminally ill. They enhance effective communication, help build teams, stimulate peaceful discussions, create camaraderie, and relieve stress. Tears and laughter are typically part of the sharing process. Participants bond immediately and realize they are not alone.”
Carol has written an interactive memoir workbook titled A Hunger for Home: Vittles and Vignettes. It contains stories spanning 20 years as well as writing prompts for individuals, groups, and families to write their own stories, celebrate their lives and preserve their legacy. There is historical data in each section. Tastes, smells and foods also bring us home, so there are recipes to match the theme of the stories. Carol’s intention is to have the book published.
